My Mission
Supporting women and their families during pregnancy, birth and postpartum in the beautiful Copper Country
Hello! I’m Anna,
owner and doula here at Keweenaw Doula Services.
Welcome to a supported birth, no matter which route you take.
I’m a mother, wife and passionate birth worker.
I was the pre-teen reading the encyclopedia to learn about pregnancy and birth. Now, many books later, I enjoy attending births as a doula, encapsulating placentas to give moms the best chance at a good postpartum, and even teaching childbirth education! I love to support families in any way I can during their journey. After 8 babies of my own, I know a few tips I love passing on, and how important it is to be supported during such a special and, can we just be real and say, challenging time.
I am located in the Upper Peninsula and serve Houghton & Keweenaw Counties.
Medicated. Unmedicated. C-Section. Water Birth.
Portage Hospital. Aspirus Keweenaw. Home Birth.
Obstetrician. Midwife.
No matter what birth you choose, I am here to support YOU.
Pregnancy & Birth Support.
I offer a variety of birth services including doula services and private childbirth education services to make sure you feel 100% supported during your journey. This is a beautiful process you’re in and I want to make sure you’re educated and feeling confident no matter which route you take.
I am located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and serve both Houghton & Keweenaw Counties.
Postpartum & Childbirth Classes.
I offer more than birth support, including postpartum planning and support and placenta encapsulation services! I would love to help you decide if either of these options are a great fit for you! Schedule a consultation, or head to services to learn more.

Fun Facts…
what are the benefits of having a doula on my team?
A study showed that those who had continuous labor support saw:
A decreased risk of cesarean by 39%
A 15% increase in the likelihood of a spontaneous vaginal birth
Shorter labors
Better APGAR scores for baby
And were more satisfied with their labor than those without continuous support.
