Postpartum Planning

It doesn’t matter which number baby you just had. There’s an adjustment period. There’s gonna be a lack of sleep, days where it’s nearly impossible to get supper on the table, and there’s no such thing as “bouncing back” immediately after birth. For some moms they feel better in a few days, and some take months to feel like their energy is near normal.

I am that mom. I’ve been there. I’ve had to call my husband home from work at 2 months postpartum because I was so overwhelmed that I was sitting in my room (a COMPLETE MESS) giving myself a time out. Yes, sometimes moms need a time out too!

So when I started my doula business, I knew I wanted to address this. I wanted to show up for my clients. To give them a loving, helping hand. Each birth client gets a small shift where I can be there how they need.

I also offer hourly postpartum support. In a minimum of a four hour block, I am available for shifts any time of the day or night. (My night owl genes come in handy!!!) Have you got a fussy baby with his days and nights confused? We could arrange a package where I’ll come help you hit reset on your sleep for three nights in a row. Leaving you feeling refreshed and recharged.

Or maybe the house is a mess, you can’t seem to get a warm dinner on the table, and you haven’t napped in days. Maybe a few afternoons in a row would be a good choice! You’ll nap, I’ll clean up and entertain the kids, and get a good meal done for your family while I’m at it!

Oh, does this sound marvelous! It is so clearing for the brain, the mental health benefits are so good as well.

If postpartum support is something you’re interested in, give me a call!
